NLP at work in sales
It's amazing how the Trojan horse helps us understand about sales and persuasion through NLP
When we try to influence people for us to make a sale, we are often faced with some sort of resistance. Individuals don't easily open their minds, much so their pockets, when you come up to them and persuade them about something. To hurdle this challenge, you can use NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) in swaying people into making decisions that are in your favour. If you are familiar with the epic story of the Trojan horse and how the Greeks used this in leading the unassuming Trojan people to think that they've won the battle when they are actually slowly being taken over without them knowing it.
NLP is not used to trick people, but rather have them see the benefits of one thing from a certain perspective and lead them to realize why they need your product. You target the subconscious to persuade them. Aside from business, you can also use this in other situations where you also need to do some convincing. Whether it is about telling your kids to eat more veggies or asking your boss for a raise, these subtle techniques can certainly give satisfying results when used the right way.
